It So Cold It Makes The Head Spin

Thursday and Friday are teachers convention so I have both kids home. Monday is Family day so D has an extended weekend. I had planned to go out or have friends over but its so cold. Yesterday with the windchill it was -40 C(F). Yes an interesting bit of trivia for you but -40 is the same in both units. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed because I wanted to do so much but I consider this a blessing as well. I can't imagine trying to find rides for D and trying to get him to school. That would suck. So instead, today we are having a dance party. D just made his first attempts to do some head spins. He gets a quarter of the way around before his legs come down. Cool. I better go because my solo is coming up. TTFN

We had a Snow Day here yesterday, and a scheduled PD Day today. I thought Monday was a special activity day too, but apparently (thank goodness) there will be supervision for the kids who aren't participating.

It's cold here too, but not like you get. I know you guys laugh at us Southern Ontario wimps when it comes to the cold! ;-)

We did a similar thing here too! Dance away the cold...it works...we had a few of the neighbourhood kiddos over and man it was hilarious (but no head spins...I didn't want to get sued...LOL)! Next time there is a break you should come on over and we can all get dance fever together...I am sure all the boys would have a blast...heehee.

I don't think I'll complain about our (admitedly mild) winter here in Central Ohio any more. At least I CAN bundle up enough to go out most days! And no little ones going stir crazy either.

By the by, our family has lived all over the US plus BC, Can. I have never had a child complain that it was too cold to go out and play, but I have often had complaints about it's being too hot to go out and play. So, pity the poor southerner come summer!

We were freezing yesterday. After weeks of being in the high 50's and low 60's (F), today barely reached 50 degrees. We were shivering, inside, all day. You know if you really want to get back at me, you can go ahead and send some of that snow and cold air our direction. That would be New Mexico in care of Abq Mom.

Sorry about the multiple postings--it had indicated that it did not post--
Anyway, ABQ, we've had the same thing going on here(OH)--quite abnormal.
We really do feel compassion for our northern friends, but, as my old friend from Calgary used to say,"Many are cold, but few are fozen."
