Happy Groundhog day everyone. Balzac Billy, the closest thing we have to a groundhog, has just stuck his head out and he didn't see his shadow. According to legend that means less than 6 weeks of winter. Excuse me if I take the position of a skeptic but this is Canada. I'm going to curl up in a cozy blanket and watch my movie.

I haven't watched that movie in years! I didn't even realize it was ground hog day. We already have flowers coming up, but then this is Oregon. :)
I knew it was groundhogs day, and according to the Today Show this morning theres going to be another 6 weeks of a "mild winter". I love that movie, it seriously cracks me up, but whenever we watch a movie were the same scene gets repeated a few times Shane always says "oh great Groundhog Day" I always remember Groundhog's Day, its the day before my parents anniversary. (tommorow) They will be married for 28 years.
Balzac Billy? We have Wiarton Willy. (Well, his cousin or something. The "real" Wiarton Willy passed away a couple of years ago.)
We have Dad--he's a forecaster. Winter is still upon us, with new life. (A mild January was rather nice.)
